In the words I once heard on Fallon Taylors podcast, if it's not a HELL YES then it's a HELL NO. I think often we want to push through our struggles to accomplish or truly enjoy something because we don't want to disappoint people or let down ourselves. And that is not a healthy way of going about our lives. I think we all have so much pressure to be good and try hard at everything but if your hearts not in it and theres no passion behind the task then it becomes a chore.
I am not saying that even the things you love you don't go through a phase of struggling because we all have had to grind things out. But what I am saying is that if you have no purpose behind what you are doing than you are going to have a tough time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Passion and purpose is what drives us to push through those difficult times and if you don't feel it in something you do than let it go.
Don't feel bad for letting whatever that thing is that holds you down, because you will be able to spend a lot more time focusing on the things that really light a fire in you. I have been here multiple times with friends, hobbies, jobs and more and you have to sit there and ask yourself is it worth the frustration?
You might think to yourself how do I figure out if I really love it or not and I would tell you to refer to this popular saying from Winston Churchill “Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.”. This will put your priorities in check and help you visualize what truly is important to you and gives you life when you do it.
Don't waste your time on things you don't truly love...find what drives you and put all of your energy into that and let go of the things that don't.
